Singapore headquartered education firm Xseed, which has its development centers in Delhi and Bengaluru, has launched two new applications to enhance the teaching and learning experience of teachers and students respectively.
The two applications are called Tapp amd Xseed Future. Tapp is a professional development mobile app to measure and help improve teachers’ skill while Xseed Future is India’s first bi-lingual programme to help teachers in aspiring English medium schools.
Speaking to media Anustup Nayak, vice-president Xseed said schooling system today is rigidly focused on rote learning. In order to make today’s youth employable, it’s important to make them confident thinkers and skilled problem solvers; he said and added their teaching toolkit comprising 10,000 comprehensive, researched teaching plans they want to help the students to achieve more than mastering text book content and passing examinations.
“Our teaching toolkits enhances the way a teacher teachers in classroom and enables for a highly personalized learning and teaching experience,’’ he added.
The company works with schools ranching from KG to Class 8. ``Right now we are working with 1600 private schools and the idea is to scale it up to 10000 schools in the next few years,’’ Nayak said. Majority of the schools that Xseed is collaborating with are from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, nayak added.
Xseed’s flagship programme educates 7, 50,000 students through 60,000 skilled teachers in 1,600 schools across India, Nayak further said.
